Work with Dad

A really long time ago (as you can see I need to start posting again) I went with dad to his work at UPS (at the airport). He unloads and loads boxes from trucks and planes. I had to wake up at 11:30 and we did not get home until 7am! As you can see from this picture, I look really tiard and pale because I AM!

My Hair!

Hey all! Sorry I have not posted in so long. This here is about my hair. This was me 'before'. I was going to get my hair cut and donate it to Locks of Love. Here is their website; www.locksoflove.org/ . I donated about 12 inches. When it was all dryed and everything it looked like a dead rat.
This is my hairdresser, Carol. Mom caught her in the act of cutting my hair.

Ross Haven

We went to Ross Haven Bible Camp a while ago (you see I really need to catch up), and we had lots of things to do. Go-Karts, Trampoline, Tubing (that's what that is) midnight swims for the teens, water skiing, and chapel and some other things. Lots of fun!

Then I had a horse, but we had to put him down too. Mom found a baby jack rabbit but he died the first night. Then not to long ago we had a fish and he did not last long.

IT'S TRUE!

I'm turning 13 on the 24th! WoW! I can't believe it is so close and I seemed to be 11 yesterday. Well, life moves on, and things change.

I'm very curious as to what I am going to get from mom and dad for my birthday...
Clue one: It's from Direct Buy.
Clue two: I need 20 bucks for something to go with it.
Clue three: It's expensive.

Penderwick Family Honor

We recently read the book "The Penderwicks", the 4 girls in that book did allot of things in the name of "Penderwick family honor". I'd like you to write out what you think "family honor" is and what we would stand up against in the name of family honor.

Here is what I think....

I think that their family honer is something that keeps them together and reminds them about the fact that they need to keep their family honored by others.
When Sky (one of the Penderwick girls) bumped in to Jeffery (the boy with the snobby mother), she could not make herself go and say sorry to him later. So...in order to keep there family honor, one of the other sisters had to go and say sorry too Jeffery for Sky. So Jane (the other Penderwick girl (they have four of them)) went and said sorry to prove that they were not one of those families that just blows it off.

I hope this is what you were looking for mom.
It's what I understood from your instructions.

Fathers Day BBQ

We went to my Grandpas farm for Fathers Day and just to pass time, my dad and I played "soccer". Dad made my finger numb when he bashed it against his knee, but in the end I was saved by Bandit when I kicked it far and she just shot after it and dad had no choice but to leave it alone, because when Bandit has the ball...Bandit has the ball.
Dad just happened to get deodorant from Dollerama. (mom got it for him....not me)
I always seemed to catch Grandpa at the wrong moment......

spring concert

yesterday I went to my year end spring concert and I played piano and sang. I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO PLAYED PIANO!!!! Everyone else was just singing!!!!

park time

On wendsday we went to the park, and it was FREEZING COLD! It was so much fun and I brought Becca with me (that her on the twirl thingy). I almost threw up when i went on the green twirl thingy. I was sooooo dizzy!
There was a skate park there to. It was fun to run up and down the hills and sit in the way of the skater dudes saying, "nice underwear". lol we really did say nice underwear to them! it was soooo funny!

CHEER

On the weekend, I went to a CHEER (homeschooling co-op with language, art, gym and drama) year end BBQ. It was so much fun, we had supper and just PIGGED OUT!!! on all the junk food. As you can see in the pic, we talked allot on the trampoline, but it was kinda hard because the mosquito's were SOOOOO BAD! I went home with tons on my legs!!!!
But it was so much fun, and as you can see, the girls kick the guys off the tramp. lol

Grad Weekend

My Cousin (that's him to the left) Blake had his grad a few weeks ago and we went over to Calgary to visit them.
When we were there, we all went to that park and had a great time. (that's Micaiah, my little brother)

here is a story that I had to write for school that is about my headaches



The mystery of the aching cranium



Headaches for me, are a big deal. I seem to get them all the time, and I can never seem to get the to go away. My name is Blanie Nick, I am a detective my own world, in the Land of Troubles! People here always have troubles, but they never seem to be easy problems, so my life is filled with other peoples worries, and my headaches don't help me with it much. They usually stress me out more and ruin my day and my job. I decided to get the bottom of MY problem. First I kept a journal of what I ate every day and when I got headaches. But soon I lost track of what I was eating and I thought that maybe I should stop, because it was just stressing me out even more with trying to remember! So there I was, time to move on to plan B! I was tired of having Tylenol five times a day. So I decided to see what my headaches instead of what fixed them. As I moved on with my life, I kept a close watch on my headaches, and then I met a man! His name was Mr. Can'tseemtogetitright. Welllllll...his name seemed a bit long, so I shortened it to Mr.Right instead. He seemed to like that instead of Mr.Can't, which was what I was originally what I was going to call him. He had come up with this formula which he said kept you healthy and to keep headaches away. I really didn't think that it would work, but I thought that it wouldn't hurt to give it a try...or would it? I decided to take the risk, and brought home the formula. In the morning I took some, along with my new vitamin that I had started to take every day, and when I woke up the next morning, I just had a little bit of a headache! The formula was working! But then why did I still have a little bit of a headache? Was it because of the pills? I did not take them the next day, and sure enough...my headache was gone! So! I had found out one thing that caused my headaches, but only one! I didn't know if ther was andy more, but I had to make sure! I decided to take a rest the next day to reward myself for the little bit of success. So I stayed up late and watched a show that I had always had wanted to see, and went to bed at midnight. I loved to eat junk food, and as you can guess, I wake up the next morning with a pounding headache! I guess those pills were not my only problen, I need to eat healthy to, and go to bed earlyer. (groan) So that marked two more off my list, but I still felt like something was missing. I needed to add something else to mu list. So here I am....stuck. But as my life goes on, I bet I will find more and more things that cause my headaches. Now solving other peoples problems arn't as hard andy more, because I solved my own.

And there is my story....some of the story is a bit twisted but some is true.

Proverbs 30:18-20

The things in verse 19 are things that when happen there is no covering them up. Verse 20 says 'she eats and wipes her mouth and says, " I have done no wrong" ', which means that the adulterers wipe their mouths to show no sign of the feast that they have had. But God will always know what we have done as if we were a snake on the rock or a eagle in the heavens.

The Ocean

Crystal clear, glassy green,

The nickels and the ark

A few weeks ago we had a really bad flood in our marsh. We have two geese that nest in the same spot every year, and the nest always get flooded every year! It is so sad to see the eggs floating around, and to think that those poor innocent goslings are not going to hatch and live their wee little lives. I think that Fred and Edna (the geese' names, (I did not name them, our neighbours cute little girls named them)) are about to give up even trying to have offspring next year.

If you look closely in the pictures, the garbage can and the bench are both under water! It was fun to go out there in your rubber boots and pretend it was a boat!
