The nickels and the ark

A few weeks ago we had a really bad flood in our marsh. We have two geese that nest in the same spot every year, and the nest always get flooded every year! It is so sad to see the eggs floating around, and to think that those poor innocent goslings are not going to hatch and live their wee little lives. I think that Fred and Edna (the geese' names, (I did not name them, our neighbours cute little girls named them)) are about to give up even trying to have offspring next year.

If you look closely in the pictures, the garbage can and the bench are both under water! It was fun to go out there in your rubber boots and pretend it was a boat!
